Shadowgrass Dallas Concert reviews
Jonny Lang & Buddy Guy disappoint.
"Jonny Lang's performance featured only a few of his blues numbers, while the rest he extended indefinitely and improvised like he was conversing with a therapist, discussing how 'I look in the mirror and still don't like what I see' etc. Shadowgrass, on the other hand, did not play songs from start to finish, suggesting that if we desired that, we should purchase his CDs. His exceptional guitar skills were evident. However, he would pause, share a bit of blues history with us, and cover snippets of other artists' music (not an entire song). We were situated in the mezzanine (with good seats), and for around half an hour, he moved down to the main floor to perform where we couldn't observe him."
